ABOUT AID KENYA FOUNDATION

ABOUT THE FOUNDATION:

AID Kenya Foundation is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to mobilize voluntary humanitarian aid and development assistance to orphaned and vulnerable children, teenage mothers and disenfranchised populations in rural-urban Kenya.

On humanitarian grounds, the Foundation implements, The Project HOPE Kenya ,in the following forms of support: EduAid Scholarships, school uniforms, feeding, health-care, sanitation, clothing, sanitary towels, vocational training, and psycho-social care.

Effectively, the Foundation is seeking for collaboration and partnerships to achieve our stated mission in the following strategic thematic program areas:


1. The Project HOPE Kenya: A program aimed at addressing urgent aid required or requested by or for the OVC, teen moms, pregnant mothers, IDPs, and disadvantaged populations in the form of school fees, medical costs, sanitary pads, food, and shelter. The program also focuses at sustainable paths like offering skills training and initiating SMEs for youth and women, to overcome poverty. Under the program communities can be empowered to access clean drinking water and proper toilets and hygiene;

2. Wanalea Children's Home: An orphanage offering basic care-shelter, health-care, education, food, and social support for orphaned and vulnerable children from Nairobi urban slums;

3. The Women & Girls with Disability Project: A program aimed at embracing, supporting, restoring HOPE, and incubating women and girls who are either physically or mentally disabled in order to achieve dignity, educational and sporting potential, bearing in mind that disability is not inability;

 4. The Green Kenya Project: A program of encouraging in -and-out school children and students, the community, and corporations, to conserve the environment by planting trees(40 Million Tree Campaign over the next 12 months), protecting wetlands, and creating awareness on climate change; and


5. Kitutu Community Resource Center: A center offering vocational training, ICT and SMEs and rehabilitation and psychotherapy to teenage mothers and the youth. The Center also acts a Day Care Center for children of teenage mothers. as they undertake
